Your Home feed
Home shows posts from people you follow, plus discovery posts from across ARIVA. Filters at the top let you switch between All, Photos, Videos and Articles.
Creating a post
Tap "What's on your mind?". You can add:
- Text up to 500 characters, with bold and italic.
- Photos and video from your gallery or camera.
- A voice recording or an uploaded audio file.
- A document, a location, a poll, an event or a link.
Choose who can see it: Public, Friends or Only me. The blue Post button appears once there is something to share.
Status
Status updates disappear after 24 hours. You can add up to 10 items — text, photos, videos, music or voice — and see how many people viewed each one. Tap a friend's ring at the top of Home or Connect to watch theirs.
Comments, reposts and saves
Under every post you can react, comment, repost to your own followers or save it to read later. Polls show live results, and you can change your vote until the poll ends.
Posting in your language
Write in Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Pidgin, Tiv, Fulfulde, English or any language you like — ARIVA does not force English. If you want help, ARIVA AI can translate your post before you publish. Tone marks and special letters (like ẹ, ọ, ṣ, ɓ, ɗ) are fully supported.
How the feed decides what to show
ARIVA keeps it simple: posts from people you follow come first, newest at the top, mixed with recent public posts and statuses. There is no hidden paid boosting today. As ARIVA grows, any change to how posts are ranked will be explained here.
Followers and following
Followers are people who follow you; following are people you follow. You can choose to hide your counts from your profile if you prefer.
Privacy
- Pick an audience for each post.
- Delete any of your posts at any time.
- Restrict or block people from their profile's More menu.
- Report posts that break the Community Guidelines. Reports go to ARIVA moderators.
Voice notes, video and live
Voice posts get a small player right in the feed, which is great for people who prefer speaking to typing. Video posts play inline. Live audio broadcasting is currently available in Channel TV for approved presenters; live video for everyone is Planned.
