Pay and Pi

How Pi payments work on ARIVA, and how the GCV Pi estimate on Rewards is calculated.

Paying with Pi

ARIVA supports Pi payments through the official Pi SDK, inside the Pi Browser. Every payment goes through these steps:

  1. The payment is created in Pi.
  2. ARIVA's server approves it.
  3. It settles on the Pi blockchain.
  4. ARIVA's server completes it and records it.

An order is only marked paid after ARIVA's server confirms the real transaction — never because the screen said so. ARIVA never asks for your Pi passphrase.

Sandbox (test Pi) and Mainnet (real Pi) use separate settings. The app tells you which one you're in.

The GCV Pi estimate

On the Rewards page, ARIVA shows your points converted into a Pi estimate using a community figure called GCV (Global Consensus Value), where 1 Pi = $314,159.

Estimate only. This figure is NOT Pi you own. No payout is promised. There is no cash-out and no withdrawal of Pi from ARIVA. GCV is a community idea, not an official Pi Network price. ARIVA works fully without Pi.

The formula

Points are planned to add up like this:

Points = Listen × 1 + Post × 10 + Comment × 3 + Voice note × 2
       + Video call minute × 1.5 + Friend who joins × 100
       + Translation help × 20

Today only Posts (×10) and Comments (×3) are counted. The others show "Coming soon" because ARIVA doesn't track them yet.

Then:

Dollars = Points × dollar per point (set by ARIVA admins, default $0.01)
Pi (est) = Dollars ÷ 314,159

The Pi figure is shown with 8 decimal places, for example 0.00000493 π.

Worked example

155 points × $0.01 = $1.55. Then $1.55 ÷ 314,159 = 0.00000493 π (estimate).

Why it is shown at all

The estimate helps you see how your activity might be valued in future. It is a display only: the "Pi payout" button is switched off, and nothing is held for you in any wallet.

ARIVA points are a measure of activity and reputation. They are not money, not an investment, not a security and not a claim on any Pi or other asset. Values may change or be removed. Nothing on ARIVA is financial advice. If a payout programme is ever introduced, it will come with its own terms, eligibility checks and any approvals required by law.

Naira and other payments

Card and bank payments in Naira are Planned. The ARIVA Wallet is not available yet.
