Creating an event
You can create an event with a title, date and time, place (or online link), capacity and description. You can also attach an event to a post from the Create Post screen so your followers see it in their feed.
Types of events
- In-person — owambe, church programmes, trade fairs, meetups, workshops.
- Online — webinars, classes and meetings held through ARIVA meetings.
- Live audio — Channel TV radio channels broadcast live shows from approved presenters.
RSVP and reminders
Attendees tap to RSVP so the organiser knows how many are coming. Reminders help people remember the date.
Tickets
Paid tickets are Planned. For now, events on ARIVA are free to RSVP. If an organiser collects money, they do so outside ARIVA and ARIVA cannot protect that payment.
Staying safe at events
- Meet in public, well-known places.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Report events that look fake or dangerous.
Points for attending
Attending events does not earn Rewards points today.
