ARIVA User Manual

Learn ARIVA step by step. Plain-language help written for someone using a smartphone for the first time.

Getting started

What is ARIVA?: One place to talk to people, share what you make, buy and sell, learn, work, and get help from AI. Pi is included but you never need it.
Create an account: Open Sign in and choose Google, Microsoft, your phone number, an email and password, or Pi. They all lead to the same ARIVA account.
Complete your profile: Go to Profile, add a photo, your name and a short line about you. People find you more easily.
Find people: Open Discover and search a name, a topic or a tag. Tap Follow to see someone's posts.
Make your first post: Tap Create, then Create post. Write something, add a photo if you like, and tap Post.
Send your first message: Tap Connect, pick a person, type at the bottom and press Send.
Use the Market: Tap Market, search or browse, open an item to see the price and buy.

Add or change your photo: Open Profile, tap the camera badge on your picture, then Change picture or Take photo. Move and zoom, then Save.
Edit your profile: Tap Edit profile to change your name, username and the short line about you.
Followers and subscribers: Your profile shows how many people follow you, who you follow and your subscribers.
Choose what appears: In Edit profile, tick which buttons (Message, Call, Follow, Share) and sections visitors can see.
Privacy: Settings, Safety and privacy: choose who can message, call and follow you.

Write a post: On the Home feed tap “What's on your mind?”, type, then tap Post.
Add photos, videos or files: Use Gallery, Camera, Video or Document in the create window. You can add more before posting.
Polls and events: Tap + in the create window and choose Poll or Event.
Status: Add a Status that disappears after 24 hours from Connect or Discover.
AI help: ARIVA AI can write a caption or make a picture for your post.

Send a message: Open a chat, type in the box at the bottom, press Send.
Send a photo or video: Tap + Attach, choose Camera or Gallery, check the preview, add a caption if you want, then Send.
Send a document: Tap + Attach, choose Document, pick the file, then Send. The other person can download it.
Share a contact: Tap + Attach, choose Contact. ARIVA only sends the card into the chat you have open — it never messages or calls that person.
Share where you are: Tap + Attach, choose Location. Your phone will ask permission first, and you can say no.
Create a poll: Tap + Attach, choose Poll, write the question and the options.
Make a call: Open Connect, open a chat and tap the call or video button.
Share a link anywhere: Tap ↗ Share to send an ARIVA link to WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Facebook, email, text message, or simply copy it.

Find something: Open Market and search, or filter by category and price.
Buy: Open the item and follow the checkout. Your order is only marked paid after the payment really goes through.
Sell: Open Your store, add a product or service with a photo, description and price.
Orders: Your store shows what you bought and what you sold, and the stage each order is at.

Open it: Menu, then Channel TV. Choose Live TV, Radio, or Films & Shows.
Language radio: Pick Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Tiv, Pidgin, Fulfulde, English or World. If a language has no station yet, ARIVA tells you.
Live TV: Watch channels such as Channels TV, Al Jazeera and DW News.
Controls: Tap Play or Pause. Radio keeps playing in a small player at the bottom while you use ARIVA. Star a station to save it.
Simple Mode: Big buttons for elders: pick a language and press one large Play button.

Business page: Open Business from the menu to set up your company presence.
Creator Studio: Open ARIVA Studio to write, edit pictures, make AI images and prepare posts.
See how you are doing: Analytics show views, followers and sales.
Earning: Rewards shows points and the ways to earn that are open to you today.

Ask a question: Open ARIVA AI, or tap the small ARIVA AI button that floats on the page.
Make a picture: In ARIVA Studio choose AI image, describe what you want, then save or send it.
Improve your writing: Paste your text and ask for a shorter or clearer version.
Translate: Paste text and say which language you want.
What AI will not do: ARIVA AI refuses harmful requests, and the keys that power it stay on our servers, never in your phone.

Find work: Open Jobs, search, and apply. Your applications are listed in one place.
Learn: Open Courses, enrol, and your progress is saved.
Events: Open Events to find something near you, say you are coming, or create your own.

Is Pi required?: No. ARIVA works fully without Pi.
Sign in with Pi: Open ARIVA Pi and connect. It links to your existing ARIVA account rather than making a second one.
Pay with Pi: Where a seller supports it, choose Pay with Pi. ARIVA only marks the order paid after the payment is confirmed on the Pi blockchain.
Pi calculator: The ARIVA Pi page has a calculator that converts a price to Pi.

Report: Tap Safety on a post, message, product or profile, choose a reason and send. A person reviews it.
Block: The person can no longer reach you or see your things.
Mute: You stop seeing them, but they are not told.
Restrict: They can still write, but their messages and comments stay quiet until you allow them.
What you see: Settings, Content preferences: sensitive material is hidden by default and you can choose warnings instead. Some limits cannot be turned off.
Who can reach you: Settings, Safety and privacy: choose who can message, call, follow, mention and tag you.
Your data: Profile has Download my data and Delete my account.

Appearance: Bigger text, stronger contrast and less movement on screen.
Floating windows: The small windows that stay on top while you keep reading. Turn any of them off.
Notifications: Choose what ARIVA tells you about.
Language: Choose the language ARIVA speaks to you in.
Photos, videos and files: See what you have stored and clear what you no longer need.
